"Burning of the Christmas trees" in Scharbeutz

On 8th January, the Scharbeutz Tourist Service will be staging its first event of the new year.

"We're inviting all Scharbeutz residents and guests to a convivial evening, and anyone who wants to can bring their Christmas tree with them and dance around the camp fire", says event organiser Christian Rogge.

A camp fire is being built on the activities beach in Scharbeutz, where the old Christmas trees can be burned. The Christmas trees must be no more than 2 metres in height, must be dry and must be stripped of all decorations. The event starts at 4 p.m. A DJ will provide atmosphere and local caterers will provide hot drinks and food.
